Arrived in Cairo at 11:30a.m.  Temp. 100+
New airport was deserted except for our flight.
Met by Sofitel  Hotel car (cool damp cloths and chilled water)
Staying near the downtown area beside the Nile.
Cairo is a late night city.  Disco music from several hotels across the Nile until 3:00a.m.  Dinner: chicken shiskebobs, hummus (yummy!) and hot pita bread.
